About Chelsea Lee - Addiction and Behavioural Interventions

Meet Chelsea Lee, MPCC

Watching someone you love struggle with addiction or mental health challenges can feel overwhelming and isolating. You may be living in a constant state of worry, bracing for the next crisis, fearing for their safety, and carrying the guilt that comes with wondering if you're doing enough.

I'm Chelsea Lee, a trained intervention specialist and licensed Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling (MPCC). I bring over 8 years of clinical experience and more than 20 years of lived experience supporting families through these exact struggles. I’ve seen the impact of addiction and mental health issues not only in my work, but also within my own family.

As a mother, I deeply understand the pain of watching someone you love slip away, and the anticipatory grief that comes with not knowing when the next crisis will come.

What sets my approach apart is the integration of formal, evidence-based training with lived, personal insight. This dual perspective allows me to guide you with both professional expertise and genuine compassion, grounded in a real understanding of the heartbreak and the hope that lead families to seek help.

Guided by Experience, Driven by Compassion

Built on a Foundation of Love

My calling to this work began long before I held clinical credentials. Early in my career as a 9-1-1 dispatcher and Primary Care Paramedic (formerly EMT), I responded to countless addiction and mental health crises. I saw firsthand how substance use devastates not just individuals, but entire families.

But my deepest understanding came from living it in my own family. I know what it's like to love someone whose addiction is consuming everything you hold dear. I often wonder where my loved one would be today if an intervention had happened sooner, with proper guidance, instead of a family doing their best without the right tools.

That experience shapes everything I do today. I believe every family deserves professional support during life’s most overwhelming moments, and everyone struggling deserves a chance at recovery,  guided by someone who brings both clinical expertise and genuine compassion.
